B. Banff: the mountainous topograhy provides skiing, hiking, snowboarding, and camping opportunities
C. The Grand Canyon: the topography (big canyon) is an attraction in itself. The sheer enormity.
D. Las Vegas: gambling in casinos, the desert, the shows + attractions built into the hotels and casinos.
E. The Klondike: visitors come for the stagecoach rides, museum exhibits, abandoned buildings, and the chance to pan for gold.
F: Death Valley: the topography of the land. Death Valley is the lowest point on earth below sea level.

2. All the interactive parts of a biological community and it's surrounding environment. Visitors overrun the park, and it gets crowded. The automobile exhaust damages the natural environment. The carelessly left behind garbage pollutes the landscape. Visitors often harass wildlife or destroy plants that are essential to the environmental balance. Sometimes, they endanger themselves and others by ignoring the park regulations. Also, threat of forest fire is always present.
3. The topography of the Western Cordillera is extremes. Banff, with its tall mountains s excellent for snow sports. Hawaii, on the other hand, is nice for its beautiful islands and warm climate.Sometimes because the area is so mountainous, it restrics travel, development, and exploration of the area.
4. A. Garbage thrown in the lake by rafters.
B. Extensive logging in order to clear out the area for skiers. Destroys habitat for animals.
C. Vehicle emmissions are detrimental to the environment, and further the greenhouse effect.
D. Horses trampling plants that are vital to the natural balance of the ecosystem.
5. Mining, lumbering, and agriculture take up tourism areas. If agriculture needs an area for harvesting crops, not many people are going to go there to see agriculture taking place. Transport can clog up the freeways so people can;t get to their destination.
